WARRENTON, Va., Feb. 25, 2021 – Novant Health UVA Health System is aware that the PrepMod system has closed registration for second-dose appointments for those who received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in February clinics at either Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center, a Novant Health UVA Health System Medical Group office, or Unity Reed High School.
If you received your first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine from Novant Health UVA Health System and were notified by PrepMod to schedule a second dose, but were unable to do so, please be patient as an appointment slot will be opened for you. You will be contacted when you can proceed with your scheduling.
If you were previously invited by Novant Health UVA Health System to register for a first-dose appointment but have not yet scheduled it, you now will need to register through Virginia's Statewide Vaccine Pre-Registration System at vaccinate.virginia.gov or by calling 877-275-8343 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
If you received your first dose through a Prince William Health District clinic and not Novant Health UVA Health System, please click here to learn how to schedule your second dose.
If you registered for your first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine through a link that was forwarded to you and you were not invited to register, your Novant Health UVA Health System appointment will be cancelled.
Recent community vaccination clinics held at Unity Reed High School were not exclusively for employees of the local school systems. Novant Health UVA Health System patients and community members who met 1a and 1b criteria defined by the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) were also scheduled as vaccine availability allowed, in coordination with school officials and the Prince William Health Department.
Screening for eligibility happens prior to registration invitations being sent as we identify individuals to receive an invitation. Further, registrants are asked to verify their age and employer type in PrepMod. Completing a registration if you are not eligible for a vaccine or forwarding registration invitations to others who are not eligible is a violation of the state’s vaccine prioritization guidance. Misuse of registration and/or not meeting the state’s vaccine eligibility requirements will result in Novant Health UVA Health System cancelling your appointment.
Vaccine allocation from the VDH and clinic planning is directly linked to the specific individuals for whom Novant Health UVA Health System administered a first dose of the vaccine. Public cooperation with the process is essential to ensure accurate vaccine availability at each clinic site and safe administration of the vaccine, timed according to guidelines from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
