Diversity and inclusion in action
At Novant Health UVA Health System, diversity and inclusion are more than words. They’re core values. We recognize that every person is different, each shaped by unique life experiences. This enables us to better understand one another and our patients. By engaging the strengths and talents of each team member, we ensure a strong organization capable of providing remarkable healthcare to our patients, families and richly diverse communities.
From offering diversity and inclusion classes for team members and leaders to sponsoring community events, Novant Health UVA Health System is putting our core values into action. As examples, NH UVA Health System sponsored the Manassas Latino Festival and the NOVA Pride Event last year. We also are working with the Veterans Education and Training and Military Medics and Corpsmen Program to identify more job candidates who are former servicemen and servicewomen.
