Meet Stephanie Bratton, radiology team hero and Mark award recipient
It’s important to celebrate excellence and honor those whose dedication to the remarkable patient experience exemplifies all we’re trying to achieve here at Novant Health UVA Health System. For this reason, we are recognizing our team members who consistently demonstrate excellence in our mission, vision and values. They have truly delivered on creating a remarkable patient experience – and they are the 2017 recipients of the Mark, our new team member recognition program.
This month, we celebrate Stephanie Bratton, a radiology supervisor at Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center. After 20 years with our organization, Stephanie can confidently say that it takes a community, not a single individual, to make a difference. Every day, Stephanie helps keep the radiology department at Prince William Medical Center running smoothly. From scheduling to supporting physicians and team members to dealing with equipment issues and caring for our patients’ concerns, Stephanie always shows great compassion.
What is the secret to Stephanie’s success? “Always treat every patient according to his or her own uniqueness, not like the same exam/procedure you do every day, all day,” she said.
Stephanie comes from a line of compassionate healthcare professionals. Her mother is one of our wonderful volunteers and her daughter is a dedicated team member in behavioral health. Stephanie loves to talk and is happy to share her experiences over pineapple and coconut frozen yogurt. However, if you can’t find her in our radiology department, she may be traveling to places with blue waters and white sandy beaches.
Thank you, Stephanie, for all that you do for Novant Health UVA Health System. Your dedication to teamwork and compassion sets an outstanding example for passion in serving our organization and delivering a remarkable patient experience.
