Meet Rebecca Hanlon, surgical services Zen master and Mark award recipient
It’s important to celebrate excellence and honor those whose dedicated to the remarkable patient experience exemplifies all we’re trying to achieve here at Novant Health UVA Health System. For this reason, we are recognizing our team members who consistently demonstrate excellence in our mission, vision and values. They have truly delivered on creating a remarkable patient experience — and they are the 2017 recipients of the Mark, our new team member recognition program.
Let us celebrate Rebecca Hanlon, one of our wonderful registered nurses in our outpatient surgical recovery at Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center. Rebecca is one of the first friendly faces our patients see after they recover from their anesthesia. Together with her team members, Rebecca ensures that our patients experience remarkable care following their surgery. Often, patients may come in feeling nervous about their procedures, but Rebecca’s “too blessed to be stressed” outlook helps our patients feel at ease during their visit with us.
How does Rebecca follow our core value of achieving personal excellence? She says she doesn’t just go by her job title and description — she thinks outside the box!
She is not only a calming force in surgical services, but she also leads by example at home. As a single parent to her two beautiful daughters, ages 19 and 13, she is a true inspiration. So, when Rebecca can find some well-deserved “me time,” she loves to binge on the TV show “Impractical Jokers.”
Thank you, Rebecca, for all that you do for Novant Health UVA Health System. Your dedication to personal excellence and teamwork sets an outstanding example for passion in serving our organization and delivering a remarkable patient experience.
