Culpeper Medical Center nurses receive hands-on training for emergency response
Congratulations to the nurses at Culpeper Medical Center who have gained valuable knowledge and critical thinking skills by participating in the widely recognized Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). Offered by the Emergency Nurses Association, the course empowers nurses to rapidly identify life-threatening injuries and comprehensively assess patients while providing hands-on practice in achieving better patient outcomes. Patients who present with a traumatic injury would be stabilized and transported to University of Virginia School of Medicine, a level I trauma center. Approximately half of the Culpeper Medical Center nurse staff has completed the course. They join fellow nurses at Prince William Medical Center and Haymarket Medical Center who have also received the distinctive certification as part of a three-year plan to certify all nursing staff.
