Introducing new service line leaders
As we continue to grow and expand our service lines, we have added two service line leaders to Novant Health UVA Health System.
Lanelle Emerson, orthopedics service line manager, graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training and went on to get her master’s degree in sports healthcare from the Arizona School of Health Sciences.
Lanelle started her career with our organization in September 2014. Within six months, the program hired four PRN athletic trainers to assist in providing medical coverage for community events. Today the sports medicine team includes one full-time trainer and eight PRN athletic trainers, who help provide medical coverage for numerous school systems as well as youth leagues and other community organizations, including the Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Half Marathon.
Alison Haines, heart and vascular and neurosciences service line director, joined Novant Health in June 2014, and contributed to our Novant Health Medical Group. Prior to joining Novant Health, she served many years in ambulatory operations, including practice management with Rush University in Chicago and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
In her new role, Alison will focus on service line growth and development for neurosciences and heart and vascular, working in partnership with the operational leaders of these areas. Alison will continue to support her responsibilities with RPC North in the interim.
