Rochelle Aycoth – An animal loving kayaker with a knack for data analysis and process improvement
Rochelle Aycoth, clinical analyst at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center, spends her days supporting our administrators, medical staff, directors, managers and others in the access, use, distribution and analysis of data. This analysis then allows her to work with leaders and teams to find clinical process improvements. Now this is certainly important, but according to Rochelle, her number one responsibility is putting compassion at the center of every interaction. In addition to being a data collecting expert, she is also an experienced kayaker, camper and hiker. But wait there’s more! Read the short interview below to learn more.
What thoughts would you share to inspire those who are striving to make their mark at Novant Health?
I would tell them that they are making such a difference and to never think otherwise. It can be anything from helping to take care of patients or their family members, working on improvements, policies or schedules, or even when you give a smile to a random passerby – you are leaving your MARK. Never stop learning, growing and caring.
Are you a cat or dog person?
I am an animal person period. You name it, I love dogs, cats, horses, pigs; everything except spiders.
What are your hobbies?
I love kayaking, photography, hiking, camping, jewelry making and acting. I know I am missing a few, but pretty much anything that gets me out in nature or on the beach.
What is your favorite ice cream?
Neapolitan, because I can eat three flavors at one time!
How do you pronounce our most favorite shade of Novant Health purple (aubergine)?
Tell us a little about your family.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 16 years. We have an 8-year-old son who keeps us very busy. We are involved in Cub Scouts and other volunteer activities in our community.
