The Leapfrog Hospital A Health Grade

The Leapfrog Hospital Health Grades has awarded Culpeper Medical Center with Grade A safety performance for every grading period since 2012. Grade A achievement demonstrates our commitment to reducing errors, infections, and accidents that can harm patients. Hospitals earning top marks nationally in Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Grades have achieved the highest safety standards in the country. Culpeper Medical Center is distinguished among a small group of hospitals across the country that continually achieve Grade A for patient safety.

Baby-friendly designation

Baby-friendly USA awarded Culpeper Medical Center the first Baby-Friendly designated hospital in The Commonwealth of Virginia. Baby-Friendly USA is a global program launched by the World Health Organization and the United Nations to encourage and recognize hospitals and birthing centers’ offering an optimal level of care for infant feeding and mother/baby bonding to support better outcomes for babies and moms. Designation recognizes birthing facilities who successfully implement programs that give all mothers the information, confidence, and skills necessary to successfully initiate and continue breastfeeding their babies or feeding formula safely.

Get with the Guidelines – Resuscitation Silver Award

The American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® - Resuscitation Award recognizes a hospital’s commitment and success in ensuring patients receive the most appropriate treatment for heart failure and stroke according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines built on the latest scientific evidence. Culpeper Medical Center has earned the Get with the Guidelines – Resuscitation Silver Award.

College of American Pathologists Accreditation Program

College of American Pathologists Accreditation Program (CAP) is the leading organization of board-certified pathologists serving patients, pathologists and the public by fostering and advocating excellence in the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine worldwide. The Laboratory Accreditation Program inspects a variety of laboratory settings covering an array of disciplines and testing procedures to assure our patients they can count on our pathology and laboratory medicine for accurate diagnoses and consistent quality of their test results.
