Robotic joint replacement

High-tech methods can lead to more precise results

When your joints hurt, it can be hard to stay active and do the things you enjoy. If you are considering a total or partial joint replacement, the Makoplasty procedure could be right for you.

Before surgery, your care team will use the Mako system to create a computerized 3D model of your joint. That model will be used to assist your surgeon during your procedure. Looking at the model’s visual boundaries, your surgeon will use a robotic arm to carefully get rid of diseased bone and precisely place an implant where the old bone was removed.
