UVA Pre-Surgical Care Prince William

When your health is in question, you shouldn’t have to guess the answer

Get ready for your surgery with help from our team

When you are preparing for surgery, it can be helpful to have an expert guiding you through the process. Our experienced providers can help you get ready for your procedure at a UVA Pre-Surgical Care Prince William.

Your visit will include a physical exam by our staff to make sure you are healthy enough for surgery. This could include bloodwork, lab tests or X-rays, depending on your upcoming procedure. You’ll also receive an evaluation so your care team will know what kind of anesthesia would best serve you.

We try to schedule these visits for at least one week before your surgery. This can help us address concerns early so we can prevent your procedure from being delayed.

Preparing for your visit

What should I bring to my appointment?

  • A list of the medications you take, including names and dosages
