Let’s talk about how you can get healthier and live life more fully. That’s our approach to weight loss – it’s so much more than just helping you lose extra pounds. With us, you can expect a medical plan that includes the range of services you need to achieve your wellness goals. We can teach you to plan nutritious meals and understand and change behavior that might have limited your success in the past. Our services

Nutritional counseling

Eating healthy food can play an important role in losing weight. Our registered dietitian can identify parts of your diet that may be holding you back and give you tips on what else you can eat to satisfy cravings. In addition to meal planning, our dietitian can grocery shop with you to help you select healthy choices and understand labels on packaged food.

Exercise consultations

If your weight limits the way you can move and exercise, our physical therapists can develop a workout routine that still gets your heart rate up. After an initial evaluation, your physical therapist will teach you exercises designed to help you meet your specific fitness and weight goals.

Bariatric surgery

Our surgeons regularly perform a number of bariatric surgeries, including:

Laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (Lap Band)

Using a minimally invasive technique, your surgeon will place a small flexible band around the upper part of your stomach. This band will reduce the amount of space you have for food, so you will feel full more quickly.

Sleeve gastrectomy

During the procedure, your surgeon will remove the portion of your stomach that expands when you eat. This will limit how much you can consume and help you feel satisfied for a longer time after meals.

Gastric bypass surgery (Roux-en-Y gastric bypass)

This surgery involves creating a new pathway for your food that only uses part of your stomach and part of your small intestine. This means you will be less hungry and will absorb fewer calories from the food you eat.

Bariatric surgery revisions

If you’ve previously gotten bariatric surgery, you may be interested in changing or reversing your operation. Depending on your weight loss goals, our surgeons can help you decide whether a different procedure could be more helpful. We can also remove Lap Bands using a minimally invasive operation.

Mental and emotional health consultations (before and after surgery)

Bariatric surgery can be a life-changing procedure. Our team includes psychiatrists who can help you make sense of your weight loss journey so far and prepare you for the changes that come after your surgery.

Support Groups

We offer free support groups with different monthly topics to current, former and prospective patients. This is a great opportunity to connect with other people who are in the process or who have already undergone bariatric surgery.
